1.1. Submit all compulsory returnables.
1.2. Only those tenderers who are registered with the CIDB, or are capable of being so prior to the evaluation of submissions, in a contractor grading designation equal to or higher than a contractor grading designation determined in accordance with the sum tendered or a value determined in accordance with Regulation 25 (1B) or 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations, for a 8ME or Higher class of Mechanical engineering works, are eligible to have their tenders evaluated.
Joint ventures are eligible to submit tenders provided that:
1.2.1. every member of the joint venture is registered with the CIDB;
1.2.2. the lead partner has a contractor grading designation in the 8ME or Higher class of Mechanical engineering works; and
1.2.3. the combined Contractor grading designation calculated in accordance with the Construction Industry Development Regulations is equal to or higher than a Contractor grading designation determined in accordance with the sum tendered for a 8ME or Higher class of Mechanical engineering works or a value determined in accordance with Regulation 25 (1B) or 25(7A) of the Construction Industry Development Regulations.
1.3. Comply with the required monetary value commitment of all SD initiatives to be undertaken by them which will not be less than 20% [twenty percent] of the contract value focusing on
i. Rural Integration and Regional Development
ii. Skills development
iii. Job Creation
1.4. Subcontracting a minimum of 30% (thirty percent) of the value of the contract;
1.5. Comply with the DTI’s minimum threshold for Designated Sectors for Local Production and Content for Valves Products and Actuators. (70% minimum)-
“only locally produced or locally manufactured valves product and actuators with a stipulated minimum threshold (70%) for local production and content will be considered”.
1.6. Submits a tendered price in the form of offer and acceptance which is fixed and firm for the duration of the contract.
1.7. Fully comply with all the requirements of the Compulsory Eligibility Criteria returnable Form (T2.2.1)
