Notice is hereby given that formal quotations are invited from suitably qualified service providers for the supply and deliver of cutter pumps for the water waste water treatment works.
No formal quotation will be awarded to a bidder who is not registered on the Centralised Supplier Database (CSD) and on the Stellenbosch Municipality’s Supplier Database (SMSD).
The CSD supplier number starting with (MAAA) number is automatically generated by the CSD after successful registration and validation of a prospective service provider. This number is now a mandatory requirement, as referred to in Regulation 14(1)(b) of the Municipal Supply Chain Management Regulations, as part of the listing criteria for accrediting a prospective service provider. Prospective supplier should self – register on the CSD website at www.csd.gov.za Registrations on the CSD will be compulsory in order to conduct business with the STELLENBOSCH MUNICIPALITY. The document is available free of charge on our website at www.stellenbosch.gov.za, however a non-refundable deposit of R50.00 per document is payable to the Stellenbosch Municipality if collecting a hard copy, during office hours, from The Supply Chain Management Unit, Stellenbosch Municipality, 1st Floor, Room no.121, Plein Street, Stellenbosch.
Sealed quotations endorsed with the corresponding description, “FQ328/17: “SUPPLY AND DELIVER OF CUTTER PUMPS” must be placed in the bid box at the Stellenbosch Municipality, Plein Street, Stellenbosch before or on 03 May 2017 at 11:00.

Quotations will be evaluated according to 80/20 point system of the PPPFA, functionality (where applicable) and the relevant specification as depicted in the document.

Preferences are offered to tenderers for their Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (BBBEE) Status.
Level of Contributor as follows:
1) Price 80 points
2) B-BBEE Status level of Contributor 20 points
Late, electronic format or faxed bids will not be considered and the Council does not bind itself to accept the lowest, part of or any bid.
Proposals are subject to the General Contract Conditions of National Treasury.
